Irecfer Portugal, Lda. is responsible for implementing the rigid catenary system for the Circular Line (Pink Line) of the Porto Metro. This project includes the construction of an underground section approximately 3 km long, with four new stations: Liberdade – S. Bento, Hospital de Santo António, Galiza, and Boavista – Casa da Música.
The rigid catenary system will be used to ensure the electric traction of the vehicles, with a voltage of 750 V DC. The line will be completely underground, and the construction of the stations will be carried out using methods such as cut and cover and mining excavation.
