Traction Substation for the Railway Access Channel to the City of Valencia

Works Carried Out

The traction substation is an essential part of the electrical system that will supply power to the high-speed line within the urban section of Valencia. The main activities include: Civil works of the substation: construction of the platform, foundations, perimeter enclosures, and cable ducts for power and control systems. Electromechanical assembly: installation of traction transformers, high-voltage switchgear, sectioning systems, and control and protection equipment. Auxiliary systems: ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, fire detection and extinguishing systems, and security installations. Connection and testing: execution of connections to the power supply network and testing phases prior to commissioning.

The contract signed on December 14, 2023, establishes the technical and operational coordination between the contracting parties to ensure the proper integration and synchronization of the civil works and the traction substation, guaranteeing technical compatibility and the continuity of railway service during execution.
